Sir,

46015

GOVERNMENT HOUSE.

HONGKONG. 23rd. July, 1918.

175

I have the honour to forward for your con-

-sideration a copy of a minute addressed to the blonial

Secretary by the Registrar of Supreme Court and to request

that should you see no objection, the Bank of England may be

approached with a view to carrying out the suggestions put

forward.

The late Mr. Williams was a master in the

service of this Government. He left his wife who is of local birth in very poor circumstances and it would hardly be possible for Mrs. Williams to deal with this matter herself.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient,

humble servant,

E RIGHT HONOURABLE

WALTER LONG,

M.P..
